Monica Garwood (@monicagarwood) is the San Francisco-based illustrator of our Votes for Women puzzle and flashcards! Monica is inspired by Frida Kahlo and Joan Brown, two female painters who created beautiful, meaningful work in an industry that was mostly a mans world. As an illustrator, she loved learning about Nina E. Allendar, featured in Votes for Women puzzle, who drew strong, powerful women in the suffrage movement.
