The water tender (from the German word “Tanklschfahrzeug”, abbreviated “TLF”) based on the model Mercedes-Benz 1625 (16 t, 250 hp) and equipped with a 5000-litre fire water tank, was originally intended for the purpose of fire-fighting on motorways. In the course of the long time it has been used by numerous fire brigades, however, it has proved its worth in many other fire operations.
